As someone who works in banking (worked for Chase, Citi, & B of A) I can tell you that I have seen cards at all three well over the $100k mark your requesting. You just have to get routed to the right department that has analysts that have that kind of authority.

At B of A, I had several clients I got approved for close to $200k.
Citi I had a doctor I was able to push to $350k
Chase I had a Palladium card push to $250k

Most of the time the clients had very strong Ficos (780+) strong assets (2x what they were requesting at least) and very strong verifiable income (two were traders and one was a doctor).

We’re all sitting here worrying about our 10k cards that we don’t max out every week, thinking we’re gonna get CLD’d. Or thinking “is asking for 12k unreasonable?”

Without getting into validity of suggestion, I would not make any important financial decision based on a single suggestion on a message board.
