Re: Credit one fee

I thought i remembered it coming out immediately. Be good this next year and get your scores up so you qualify for better cards and can cancel this before your year is up. The fee next year is $99 and they will not give you a CLI. But don't believe the bad reviews you read online about them not posting payments on time, etc. That's just not true and likely from people who messed up and just looking to blame someone. Cancelling was painless. He first offered to refund $12 in interest charges and waive the AF, then when I said no he offered to refund $30 in interest, waive a year of AF, and lower the APR for 6 months. I said nope and he said ok no problem and it was cancelled. Reported to the bureaus immediately that I closed it.

Re: Credit one fee

Mine was on my first statement. I've been using them for rebuilding. As long as you let a small balance post and pay right away you'll be fine. Or, if you want a zero balance just pay it before. They gave me an auto CLI with my second statement. Other than the no grace period where you are charged a minimum interest charge of $1.00 (which I had only once, I think), I have not found them to be awful. I plan on using it to reflect a zero balance until month 10 or 11 then close it out. Good luck, mrldp40! It can work for you! Smiley Happy
