I agree that they have made some changes. My DH had an account that charged him interest as soon as the charge posted to the account. And had the $95 annual fee. With me being post bankruptcy I applied and hoped for the best. My score when they pulled Experian was 712 and they gave me a card with $500 starting Credit line, $39 annual fee and 24 day grace period. I’m really pleased with this as the first card after bankruptcy. It’s not all completely bad if you’re lucky.
Credit one is all in the individual terms. It can be a predatory card with no grace period and high fees, or it can be a card with no fee and grace period and 1% cash back. I think they are trying to get some better profiles to offset the high default rates. It’s still a starter card. It has its purpose if one is careful and doesn’t get the worst rates.
Received my $300 Credit One card in December. Well, constantly using it and paying it down, I just saw that, with this new statement, they automatically gave me a CLI of $150 to now $450. This card is GOOD.
I started out at 300, now at 1750.00 on one card and 1250.00 on the 2nd. Im going for Discover so keeping these open to help with UTL , after that , they are getting closed, they have served thier purpose and I am thankful for that.
What is the highest possible line of credit with them, if anybody knows?
Unless you have a Credit One card that comes with no AF, has a grace period AND 1% cash back, you're much better off dumping this polished turd and getting the OpenSky secured Visa instead.
Yes it's a secured card, but it's "only" $35 AF, and doesn't even require a hard pull so approval is pretty much 100%.
I have 2 CreditOne cards which I have had for over 5 years now (which is the only reason I don't close them down). My Visa has a limit of $1,950.00 with no annual fee, and my MC has a limit of $1,100.00, also with no annual fee. Both cards have $0.00 balances, but the minute CreditOne tires to hit me with any fees, I will cancel them both immediately! As most people say, these cards have served thier purpose, but I have very good credit now and much better limits with cards from Well Fargo, Chase, Capital One and Discover It.

How did you get 2 cards...did you have the 1st one for a while and then re-apply, or just opened another one immediately after the 1st one?
Actually, I had the Visa card for about a year and was offered the MC, which I accepted. Like a fool, I was paying yearly ANNUAL fees AND paying for credit line increases. While these 2 CreditOne cards served a purpose for a couple years, I am done with paying any fees now that my credit is excellent! I am still debating on whether or not to cancel these 2 CreditOne cards, but I know it will hurt the age of my credit history. Time will tell what I end of doing with these 2 credit cards, but I have 4 other great credit cards now, and my oldest trade line is a secured credit card with a $1,200 limit which I have had for 7 years, and will always keep.

How long did it take you to go from $300 starting limit to CLI's to $1,750?
