Wow..  Sorry to hear about all the denials...

Looks like DC picked the wrong lender for this card.  Not sure they really thought out the lender very well IMHO.  Probably should of gone with comenity or Cap1 or the likes.  

Appears their UW is very strict still and you will probably see more AMEX Platinum cards and the likes out while out vs. a DC card.  I would be surprised if I was ever to see one.  Card I probably see the most out while I am out is the Venture card as their marketing must be working very well!!

I'm sensing the initial and natural reaction from MF is disdain toward UMB, but I'm sure there are approvals that fit their UW criteria for the type of customer they're looking for. And, while I'm not they type of ideal customer based on their UW criteria, I'm ok with that. I don't blame their partnership. It's certainly not going to drive me away from DC just because I don't get their plastic. Same with Sallie Mae. There's just certain ones that are not going to work out for most of us.

I don't know many super comic fans who have the credit that UMB wants. Marvel made the right choice with Sync. I won't ever understand why they choose UMB for this one.

DC really sucks on the business side of things!
For what’s the point of co-branding a superheroes credit card with a lender that will only approve hi-ballers who could care less about superheroes??!!

Take our community as a small sample, this card doesn’t even appeal to the likes of @mahraja, @k-in-boston, @Finstar, etc... and they’re the ones who’ll likely qualify? Really a head scratcher to me!
But what do I know?
