If you aren't a member, I would strongly urge you to app for membership first. I'm not sure what the lowest score is but I would guess 670ish.

Re: DCU Credit card

FRom what I know in talking to the branch manager.

Mid 600's gets you a card with low limits and high APR (typical for any other cards also)

700 gets you a good CL (based on income also)

720+ get you the best APR they offer and again CL depending on income, DTI, util %. YEs they do look at your other cards and how much you're using. They don't like to see usage on many cards. They mentioned it to me that I had many cards with balances. Granted I charge a starbucks on my cards to keep them active (which reminds me that I have to use my Apple VISA tomorrow )

They generally don't give high CL for starters.

@CS800

Sounds about right. I missed the best rate by 5 points. Still, the $10k CL put a smile on my face.

Yes, DCU is a good CU. The 10K is a great CL from them Smiley Happy

I wanted to get the full story about their credit procedures so I happen to know one of the managers well. He has been there for over 7 years and prior to that he was in the 'consumer loan' dept. Good info.

Plus the free EQ FICO, can't beat that. They offered me a better rate than NFCU on my car loans which was surprising Smiley Happy
