Is DCU the same EQ as SW? Or different model?
| Chase Freedom $9500 DCU Visa $10000 Capital One QS $2000 AMEX BCE $3000 | Lowe's CC $8500 WalMart CC $3100 BOA Platinum $600 AMEX Gold NPSL |
Up nine points.
This is a good reminder that I should apply for DCU for the Equifax FICO score. Anything I should know before I do?

They do a hard pull for whatever type of account you want to open with them.
For me, they did HP to open initial share account. ( EQ )
They did another HP for Visa app.
I refinanced my car loan 25 days after Visa approval, and they didn't do a new HP for that. I guess they used the same one as for the Visa.
Alliant also did 2 HP - one to open, one for Visa app. ( also EQ )
Thanks for the replies! So I need to have either the Checking Plus or Relationship Checking to qualify for the free FICO? I read some posts in other forums that some people just have a DCU savings account and still get the free FICO. Maybe the rules have changed.

I've also read that some are getting the free FICO with just the savings account. I was worried that I wouldn't, so I actually applied for the Visa card (whim, not thinking I would get approved), as you can also get the free score with one of their credit cards. Got a pending notice that changed to approved in about one hour, with a good limit/good APR. So far I really like them, and the free monthly score is a great bonus.

I'm willing to open a checking and savings account, but I don't want a DCU credit card.
