Got Discover 2/2014, EQ score - 760, CL - 8800 (highest CL at the time). First CLI in 8/2014 +2K, next CLI in 11/14 +3K. Each CLI made my overall CL higher than other CCs at the time. Will request a CLI again in February to see if this continues. Heavy use but mainly for Shop Discover.
I applied back in... August I think it was(?) for an IT since Amazon was running their "Get a $75 gift card with your first purchase" promotion.
I was instantly approved with a $4,500 starting limit, my TU FICO at the time was in the 720's. Not sure about my EX or EQ.
4 months later and the luv button on the Discover site finally worked for me, but I tried to bump my CL up to $6,000 and it's been stuck in "Processing" mode for about a week now Tried over the phone as well, but the CLI option isn't there for me on the automated menu.
Approved 12/11/2014
Starting Limit $1,800
EQ Score 667
Will attempt to request SP CLI after 91 days.
Also of note: At the time of APP, this was my highest limit card, next highest was Barclaycard Rewards at $1500. Was approved same day for Cap 1 QS1 $3000 CL. Will see if Discover will give me $3600 at 91 days.
07/2013 Starting limit- 7500 (CS abt 728)
01/2014 auto Cli to 9500
07/2014 requested Cli to 12000
Have tried to request an increase recently w/ no luck. will try again in January.
@Bronxboy10
Do people generally have the same rule that AMEX does (with the 61st day 3x CLI) like Discover's soft pull credit increase, but it's 91 days after account opening?
I was approved on Dec 4 for my Discover It with a $1k limit. Is it generally preferred to wait 91 days and then request a SP CLI?

Am I the only one who is seeing the trend here?No -- it has been commented on many times here and on other credit sites. It's rare that anyone is ever the only on any topic.
No idea what my scores were but most of my other limits were much higher than the $4,500 Discover granted me when opened. 3 months later I requested a CLI and was bumped to $9,500 with an HP. They've auto CLI'ed a couple of times for much smaller amounts since then.
Taxi I wasn't speaking "literally" but more so thinking out loud... Either way, it's clear we both agree. SPREAD THE KNOWLEDGE!!!
