Re: Daily Drivers

When I had a higher limit on my BoA Visa, that was my daily driver, and my low limit MC was mainly for gas and eating out.

Now that I've had to slash spending (and my limits), my low limit MC is my daily driver most of the time, especially since it's a Cash Rewards now, and the limit keeps my spending in check.  I only use the Visa for larger amounts or when I'm nearing the statement close date on the MC and am trying to keep UTIL down.

The Amazon Prime Visa is mostly for Amazon use, but I'll sometimes rotate it into the wallet when the MC is either maxed out or in UTIL quarantine.

Re: Daily Drivers

I carry these three cards:

  • Chase Sapphire Reserve - For restauraunts/takeout or if the person I'm handing my card to is a pretty girl.
  • Chase Freedom Unlimited - Everything else.
  • Citi Double Cash - Backup in case the merchant doesn't accept VISA or if Chase suddenly drops me.

I also carry:

  • Five $20 bills - Alternative payment if credit cards are not accepted.
  • One $1 bill - aka "bum dollar." Useful for panhandlers who won't leave you alone.
  • Driver's license
  • Health insurance card
  • Auto insurance card

Simple is better, IMO.

That's it.

Re: Daily Drivers

My daily drivers and what I use them for:

PayPal Cashback MC - 2% on anything not listed below
Amazon Prime Rewards Visa - 5% Amazon, 2% restaurants and drugstores
Amex Blue Cash Everyday - 3% groceries, 2% gas and department stores

My QS1 isn't very useful at this point so hoping to do a PC soon, if possible. I also really want to pick up the Citi Costco Anywhere Visa once some inquiries fall off.
