I've recently gone the more simplistic way of life (I like to think) and got rid of a lot of my cards. I carry my Amex Cash Magnet, Discover It, and CSR. That way if someone doesn't take Amex or Discover, I have a Visa to fall back on

At current I carry my NFCU GoRewards card, and my Lowes card daily. We are mid remodel so we are always at Lowes, and that 5% off has come in handy. GoRewards is my highest limit so I take it everywhere and literally everything goes on it except mortgage and car payments. I recently combined my two Capital One cards in one Quicksilver so I may rotate that one in. It doesn't get used much these days. I used to carry all of them with me but it makes my husband nervous lol.

I carry all of my cards daily, but only use 2:

Discover- for gas and restaurants right now because I'm in my cashback match period

NFCU GoRewards Visa- everything else

Discover/Freedom: either/both/neither depending on the 5% categories, specifically gas, groceries, and restaurants

Bank of the West Cash Back: 3% groceries* and/or restaurants*

Costco Anywhere Visa (Citi): 4% gas*, 3% travel, 2% Costco

PenFed Power Cash Rewards: 2% cash back on all purchases (misc.)
