Did any combine HSBC Accounts?

I have Orchard Visa and HSBC MC. Can we combine both cards? I am trying to cut down the cards.

They will send you a form-

No gaurantee of combining CL's and may pull a hard.

I guess, I am better off closing these cards. Now that I have cards from Citi, I am not sure if these cards are of any use for me. I'll call them and cancel them both.

That is what I did-

Closed them both-  They will try like heck to keep them open-
