Did anyone actually get a Financial Review from Amex for opening too many accounts?

If you know anyone, how many accounts did the person open over how long of a period?

I did. I had a zync & bcp for 4 or 5 months, got a 3
x cli on the bcp after 61 days. then I made the mistake of applying for the Hilton card & starwoods card- got approved for both @ $4500 & $2k. when I called customer service on my zync card I got rerouted to financial review. the guy said they been meaning to call me & that I had 5 biz days to release my tax returns to them or my accts would be closed. he said it was a combination of opening 4 New cars with them within a short period of time & a lot of activity on my credit report. biggest mistake I ever made- the only reason I applied for the last 2 cards was to improve my credit report bc of 10 yrs of backdating. instead they closed all my accts & I was very attached to my bcp card.
Citi Thank You $13,200 - Chase Freedom $3,100 - AMEX Zync NPSL (init. ability $17.5K) - Citi Forward $7,000 - AMEX BCP $6,000 - USAA Rate Adv $15,000 - USAA World MC $12,000 - Discover More $4,000 - Amex Hilton Honors $4,500 - Amex SPG $2,000 - Barclay's Priceline Rewards $6,400 - Chase Sapphire Pref. $7,500

How many years of tax returns did they ask for? Did they ask for anything else for their financial review?

So did you get them back (as they are listed in your sig)?

Oh, that sucks.   So did you provide the forms or just decide it wasn't worth it?

Lil- I can't blame you for not giving them the forums. I know if they were to FR me, I would just close my accounts with them, even though I have proof of my income along with my tax returns, but I think it's to much of a hassle and too intrusive for a Credit card, that's just me, and I'm sorry it didn't work out for you.

+1 - My last 2 years tax returns show about 10K more than I put on the app. (New job this year, took a pay cut, but happy!) - Still, If they asked for it, I'd probably cancel, espicially since I pay in full almost weekly, never carry a balance, and don't do anything crazy.

I got approved for three AMEX cards in basically the same day & got approved for 6 other accounts. Two of the three were very small amounts though (BCP - $2,000 & SPG $2,000). Let's see if they say anything. Lol.
