Since the "new" BHO backed Diner's Club card is just starting to hit our wallets, I found it interesting looking at my actual account number to see just how low a number it is - guessing that these are all new somewhat progressive account numbers.
Since the first 6 numbers are the issuer and the last is a checksum digit, that leaves a 7 digit assigned account number - without posting any details, I'll just say i've got a lot of zeros on mine - and yes I applied on the 28th or 29th.

I also find it interesting that the Total Rewards Visa, issued by Comenity for Ceasars Entertainment (Casinos) uses 7777 for their 5 through 8 numbers - who would have thought of using "marketing luck" in a gambler's account number....heh.
Ditto!!!
Funny, realized the same when I got my card. Would have thought there were a lot more approvals by the time I applied.
