Is this worth it?
I don't know if I would do it, $7500 spend for $200 credit is high, but if you don't plan on applying for any new cards, I say go for it.
+1 Too much spend and too LONG of a time frame for $200. The Amex Everyday, I got 15,000 MR or $150 for only $1000 in spend that needed to be done within 3 months. I met it in the first month and now I can use some of my other cards if I prefer.

15,000 MR points is $150 toward airlines or gift cards not statement credit cash back. OP, I think the discover it is worth it for the monthly fico scores and their customer service is excellent as well.
That is a lot to spend but if you also get the cash back that should be $215 total...I thinks it a long stretch unless you have something in mind you want.

You mean 275 if it's all spending done in 1% spend.
Pretty sure the rewards structure for discover more is .25% for first 3000 spent during the year and then 1% on the rest of the year.
If OP has not spent any money on the card this year, then he'll get 3000 x .25%=7.50 plus 4500 x 1%=45 plus 200=$252.50 on 7500 spending which is 3.4% which beats most card transactions. Plus if he has already spent some money on discover this year then that % will go up.
So if he is spending that much per month across various vards, it will likely be woirth it.

Are you referring to the sign-up bonus for Amex?
Mine is a old card.

Let's not forget to factor in the 1% or the 5% if you're making the spend on that. For some people it might not be worth it, but for some it definitely is.
And this doesn't compare AT ALL to sign up bonuses. This card has been established and I've not received any other offers from cards to bring my spending back.
Well said,

You are right about the rewards structure. I never knew about this and been using this card for like more than 2 years.
I have finished $3000 thresh hold now and will earn 1%.
Even here they have some restrictions. They said Warehouse purchases like WM, Sam Club will still get 0.25% only. (You may not know this perhaps)
Spending is not a problem for me, but the rewards structure is. I usually use Chase for UR points most of the times.
But i have signed up for this offer. Will see if I can make it or not lol...

In that case you'd be getting 3.7% on all purchases (except the ones you mentioned about warehouse clubs). Seems that is much better than you'd get anywhere else. I'd definitely do it.
