I currently have a 0% purchase APR on my discover IT card through January 2021.
Would this offer have to expire in order for me to be eligible for a balance transfer offer? If so, is there a certain amount of time between a purchase APR offer expiring and new BT offers becoming available?
No, you can run both concurrently as long as you have a 0% BT offer from them.
I haven't used a BT from Discover in several months, only because I feel I've uesd tehm too much in that regard. So last month I had a large purchase coming up so I called to activate a 12 month 0% on purchases. Ever since then Disco has been "actively" pushing their BT offers at me, where as before they never really did and they were just there silently in the background.
