I never used the three they say they are going to discontinue anyways.

I don't have enough of a CL to even charge a plane ticket on mine. Although my EU travel is covered by EU air regulations which is pretty good so I don't need insurance to cover me.

It won't affect me at all either since I don't travel by air much. And, any roadside assistance I need is covered by AAA and $100 towing covered with my auto policy.

With the current double rewards promotion it doesnt make sense to me to sock drawer over these changes.  If these were the only reasons you had this card then maybe though loosing the rewards and double rewards seems like cutting off your nose...

Thats odd... Do you have the discover it card or something else? I've not heard anything like this from them.

I received the same message. I image this was probably the least used of all the discover benefits and probably doesn't bother most people much. My initial reaction was, "oh yea that was a benefit", shrug my shoulders. Won't stop me from doubling up on cash back.
