I received a promotional 1.9% APR from Discover in the mail today. i called the number on the offer and accepted it. It is good for purchases from November 19th til May 31st. I pay off this card anyway so I don't pay interest on this account, but it is nice to have the low APR just in case.
Did anyone else receive this offer from Discover?
Nice!!! Even if you won't be taking advantage of the low APR (which is even nicer!).
Which card did you get?
DH rec'd this offer on his card.....I didn't get one on mine
He hasn't called yet, but sounds like that's all you have to do. Is it really as easy as that??
Did they ask for a lot of info when you called....or try to sell some other services? I think Discover's CSRs are some of the best around....but any phone call seems to always come around to trying to sell the acct protection or something like that.
I called in to get to get my 20.99% APR lowered and I was given the 1.9% promotional APR Nov until next Jul i think? Just call in and ask and they will give it to you. And yes, the CSR tried to sell me the usual wallet insurance, credit scores ect ect.
I got this a while back for my Discover More. Simply called the number, they knew why I was calling before I said it. I don't remember them trying to sell me anything extra.
Let's see, I've already had one statement cut with $65 on it, so it was probably about a month ago that I signed up for it. I paid that, charged another $1000, and PIF yesterday. So I'm not actually carrying a balance. But if I had to...1.9% is nice
It is one of my least favorite cards, typically only pulled out for 5% gas bonus. But they auto cli'd me a few months back, and now offered me this special APR...so I figured I'd be nice and use the card a bit.
