Recently I acquired a Discover Card, backed by HSBC. Anyhow, I've found it is accepted at a lot less places than Visa or M/C. Got my car repaired by a local repair shop, gave my Discover card for payment, he swiped it, looked at his machine and then the card and then informed me they don't accept Discover. Later, went to a Chic Fil A. They didn't take Discover either. Anyone else find this or is it just my area? (Northern Virginia)

So why are we apply for ? I am hurt ( -5 InQ from discover ) Amex is good , think about balance transfer after cl up to 20000.00
