Re: Discover/Citi Question

Ah ok.  The low limits would make me wanna apply for the regular cards then lol.  Altho on Citi's site now only the student is listed.

Re: Discover/Citi Question

Even if it is the student version, will it still grow with you?

Re: Discover/Citi Question

I wonder as well.  I would hope so.  Otherwise I think I'll take my chances applying for regular discover it.  Decisions, decisions.

Yes I believe so. The main difference as another poster pointed out is no signup bonus and maybe a lower starting CL.

EDIT: Citi usually soft pulls for CLIs and you can request one every 6 months.

Re: Discover/Citi Question

If you have the income and history to apply for the regular versions of the cards (and it looks like you do from the cards in your profile) I would apply for the regular versions. You probably will get higher limits and they'll grow with you better I would think.  Best of luck!

I was referring to the Discover IT, sorry I should have specified.
I was wondering so I have an idea of what to apply for in the future. I am still in college, but ironically even tho I have a Freedom & a decent sized CL do not have much of an income.. just a part time job. Nursing school doesn't allow for much free time. It just wonder which card's would grow with me with the future because I'd like to have the least amount of CC's as possible. The only reason to why I have a Freedom is because I switched banks from BofA to Chase. Originally I was denied, but due to this site I found out you could recon it. Which ended up in me getting it with a small, $400 CL.
