Discover IT CLI query

Hi all!

 

Hoping you can help me with this one. So last week, i requested a CLI on my Discover IT as the'request credit line increase' appeared on my profile. I tried two different times, but each time it said that it would have to do a HP to complete the request, so I cancelled each request. I thought I would try again today and got the message below:

 

"We're sorry. You already have a credit line increase request in progress.

We are unable to process another request until your current one is complete. "

 

I'm confused, I cancelled the two CLI , so that I wouldn't have another HP. Has anyone else come across this message? Not overly fussed, but it would be nice to know what is going on, especially as i didn't officially request a CLI as I cancelled the two before they went through as HPs.

Their system retains those queued requests until they clear out on their own or get purged.  You may have cancelled them but the systems keeps them in queue since you opted not to go via the HP route.  You may need to contact an account specialist to see if they can purge or clear those "stuck" requests.

I done the same thing and had the same issue so i called to check if my process went thru even though i clicked cancel

the rep said it was canceled but didn't ask if i can get the request cleared on the account like above post.

 

I left it be and it's now not available because i just got auto love from discover

my suggestion would be to let it be and you'r probably better off calling them to see if you can get cli via soft pull over the phone since discover is really no hassle card
or check back on the button when you truly want to go for CLI request
