My BofA 1,2,3 hasn't moved since I opened it back in August '11. If a CLI didn't result in a HP, I would go right ahead and ask for one.

If that were me, I would be calling them up asking them where the love isI've thought about it but it's my highest CL and I'm satisfied. The ironic part is I was getting those CLI's when I barely used the card. In 2010 I put right at $30,000 through Discover and last year it was about $38,000. But no CLI. Hard to figure.
This year will be much less usage for Discover though. I am using my BoA 1-2-3 card much more. Perhaps that will result in a CLI from Discover?

I did something that I think triggered an auto CLI for my DH, and you should try it, it just might work for you. If your balance on the card is low, an the CLI button is showing up, then hit the button. Do not complete the request. There will be a pull down menu for why you want the CLI. Select the BT option. Play on the screen, but DO NOT COMPLETE the request. Now, back out of the scrren.
After doing this, the next day, DH had a CLI and BT offer popped up on his screen. No HP. Try it. It might work for you too. Let me know how it turns out.

I might try this one of these days. Thanks.

Does anyone know the limit to this card? i want to see how much i can possibly have on this Discover card, if its high enough, like $20k, then i will make it my number card to use, period. If anyone can post their current limit so i can get an idea, that would be great! thanks guys!
My starting credit limit is $1,000.
I know someone with a $50,000 limit on their Discover More card. They've been with them for over 18 years and barely use it.
However, my starting limit is $1,000. Got approved today!
$50,000? 18 years? wow! That is just insane, but very good to know. Hopefully i'll get there one day! Congrats on the approval!
cardholder since 1998
credit limit = $1,500
yes, $1,500. I guess my summer vacation will be a weekend at a Motel 6 in Branson this July ... going to splurge and have an extra Diet Coke or two!!!
Carholder since Dec. 2010. Started at 5500 requested a CLI and got one with soft pull two months ago. Now I'm at 7k. Had a zero balance when I got CLI. Not my highest limit either. And I haven't been using it at all.
23,000 on Discover More
I have been with them for 7 years and have a 23K CL. If you call and ask to speak with a "Credit Analyst" they can typically raise your limit. Make sure to specify that you do not want an HP
cardholder since 2012 and just recently got an auto-increase of $500 around Christmas and then a SP CLI of $800 a couple of weeks ago. Total from $1,250 --> $2,550. I've put about $6,500 through the card since I opened the account.
My girlfriend's is 18k and she has never asked for a cli. She has had it for 12 years i believe.
