Re: Discover Graduation & Utilization

Correct. I just got my 9th statement and I’m on to 10 next month.

Re: Discover Graduation & Utilization

I misread your post pre coffee and thought you said the 5th statement haha. Good morning! Welcome to the waiting club, I cut on the 4th for my 13th. Still possible through Friday but after the 3rd business day less likely!

Re: Discover Graduation & Utilization

My 14th statement cut the other day and still no graduation. No offers on their prequal either for a second card (even though i'm not interested in another card right now). Next year hopefully they will offer me a second card, because if this one is still secured by then i'd like to close it.

Re: Discover Graduation & Utilization

RIP disco secured, finally closed it after 21 months. Had prequal offers of 19.49% but decided not to pull the trigger. TU8 668 and has been at or above 640 since the end of 2018. I previously had an unsecured card with them from 2014-2017 that was in good standing when I closed it, did not IIB.

Discover Secured Graduation??

Hello I'm new to the forum, but I am and have been active lurker for over 2 years now! There is so much information on here members provide about the credit approval process and how to ladder up the credit process by intentionally picking strong cards recommended by The myFICO forum based on my credit scores! I post now because I have a question about discover secured card graduation. Today I received a message from discover asking me to "confirm my mailing address in case my security deposit gets refunded". I'm on my 6th credit card statement since I have obtained the card. Does it's preparing me for graduation on my 7th statement? I figure I have a pretty good chances because that's a really random and obnoxious question to ask someone if you're not going to graduate them LOL! Thank you for any information provided! Look forward to hearing from you guys and gals!

Re: Discover Secured Graduation??

I didn't get that message when mine was secured, but it graduated the day after my seventh statement. As long as you're using it and paying on time, and your profile only improves, you should be on track to graduate. Good luck, hope your card un-secures and gets an increase next statement!

Re: Discover Secured Graduation??

I thought it was a little weird and I have never seeing someone post that about their discovered secured graduation. I'm just going to trust the process and wait I just wanted to know if anyone else had got that message before. Thanks for the reply enjoy your credit journey!
