Re: Discover as first card???

Discover was my first card, but as with webhopper, that was a long time ago, before there was an It, before there was a More, when it was just a Discover card, before credit scoring systems ruled the world.

Re: Discover as first card???

My younger brother (who is 18) got approved for the it student with no file whatsoever, not even student loans reporting. 500 cl that has since been upped to 800 via auto cli within 4 months of opening if memory serves.

edit- just realized it was actually the discover more student card and has since been pc'ed to the it. Don't really think there is an appreciable difference in underwiriting between the two though.

Re: Discover as first card???

Wow, Optimas! $500 isn't much, but this is the first i heard of with NO previous history.

You didn't even have him as an AU on any of your cards?

Nope, not an au although in hindsight that wouldn't have been a bad idea. It wasn't an instant approval though, it took a couple days for them to verify student status
