696 EQ and $2500 limit. May I ask what were your overall limits for applying?
@bobkmn wrote:Thanks for your reply. Do you know the relationship between the EQ and FICO numbers?
If you are asking how to compare a FAKO to a FICO the answer is nil, cant be done 2 different animals.
I'm not sure what you mean by overall limits.
My only card before this one was a $300 bank card. I merely sent in one of the pre-approved offers they kept sending me and about a month later some application specialist called me back and asked me a whole list of questions. Later she came back and told me I was approved for a $7500 credit limit and asked if that would be enough. I said yes 'cuz I was only expecting $1,000 or so. In retrospect, I probably could have asked for more but didn't.

I was recently approved for a Discover card on 3/7/14, I was approved for $6500, which was/is my highest card limit. Before that, I had the same limits as you (Cap one $500, Cap One $300, and Cap One $500. I did recently get a CLI from BoA from $500 to $1500 though). Anyway, Discover pulled EQ for me and I had a 682.
That same day, I applied for the Chase Freedom too. I just got the card today and it seems they do something called 'Card Acquisition Risk Score', which is calculated from a low of 250 to a high of 900. My score was 672. They gave me a $2200 CL.
I have one negative medical collection from 2009 for $425.
Anyway, I say all that to say that I think you'll be approved. Go for it!!!
ETA: Mine was a Discover It card too.
I just got 6500 too. :-)
Yay!!!!
