So I applied for Alliant CU checking last week, today I received a phone call from a one of their CSR to help me open a checking account. Then after that, he said he would like to help me open a pre-qualified credit card through the phone though I prefer to do it myslef. Thinking they might get some extra bonus from this and he seemed to be pretty nice , I did agree and let him applied the card for me, which cost me an extra 10 minutes thought . Then it came the 7-10 day message as expected because I just completed my 2013-April-App-Spree-Mission two weeks ago.
Anyone know whether CSR get a bonus for referring you to open an account? I can clearly feel that through the phone though.
Many banks work off a point based sales goal structure for sales employees. They have to hit their goals on a quarterly basis which determines how much their incentive payout will be on a monthly or quarterly basis. Each product sold has a certain weight towards their goal.
