I think my becu visa is currently 9% or something like that. Used to be higher but they lowered it as my scores went up.

BECU seems like an amazing institution. I've never seen a lender do things like that.

Yeah, I was surprised, too. I thought it was an error, but that's what they do

It would be a good card for someone who is starting with less than stellar CR but improves over time

It would be a good card for anybody Smiley Happy

I still have a Wells Fargo prime rate Visa. It’s locked at prime for purchases and for promo balance transfers. I had a mortgage through them around 2008 and it qualified me for the card.

Have a CU card fixed at 8.79 that cannot be raised for any reason.

I thought there was some law that issuers could change the Purchase APR with 14 days' notice after the first year, or something like that.

How does the card circumvent that?

Contract at time of app stated such that it was fixed for life of the account. I should clarify app was post card act enactment. Today this card is no longer offered and all new cards are variable.

Well, hopefully they won't close the card altogether, come up with some excuse for AA, or CLD you to $1.

I suppose those wouldn't be typical CU moves.
