please use your VISA/MC to see anything different because sometime visa/mc/discover/amex don't have the same recognition for MCC code
Oh yeah, I'm the king of telling people how things code differently on different payment networks. We get the "Chase didn't give me credit for X merchant who were in Y bonus category, they're horrible!" posts all the time.
Can someone else in Mass check their card statement to see how it codes? I don't have another card that matches or beats my current Amex net rewards redemption whether it's government or travel, so I'm unwilling to change it for a data point.
I am not surprised. Venture sees the cabins and small hotels that I stay in WI as entertainment. I just PC'd my Venture to QS.

Same for the E-Z Pass in WV on my Amex.
