I combined limites a few years ago but not sure if anything has changed. I applied for and was approved for the luxury card with a 15k limit (trying to replace my prestige card I just canceled), Thats actually higher than I thought I would get considering I have two open barclay cards currently (thought I would get the 10k minimum) It wasnt instant either it took 4 days of pending, So I feel like I just barely got it. I really dont need either arrivial anymore but would hate to lose almost 60k worth of revolving credit (on top of the closed 35k limit prestige). Will they transfer the limits if I ask when I call to cancel those two, or will I have better luck canceling them and then a few weeks later asking for a CLI on the new black card? Any tricks or tips on this matter are appreciated Thanks!
Yes you can still move limits around with barclay's.. just call the analyst number and it isn't an issue at all.. Do it quite a bit with Barclay's on 0% promo's. Most recently for examply the gave my SM 0% apr for 9 months so moved some from another card to SM without issues.

Yes I've done it on many occasions, most recently a week or so ago. I call the analyst number and they've always been accommodating about that.

Excellent, will give them a call. Thanks all
Called says the system has no trouble reallocating one or the other but not both, escaladed to see said 3-5 business days. We will see. Went ahead and moved over 28750 from the reguler arrival, left 250 on it then closed it, and left the arrival+ open until they figure it out. The CSR said that I might be at the max CL allowed but I didnt belive that.
Yes, as a matter of fact I combined the limits from a MC and VS onto my MC

Old closed account will disappear on website in about 6 month.
Calling or not does not matter
This agrees with my experience. I closed a card and combined limits on 5/18, and that card has recently dropped off of my online account.
Also, I was not required to keep any of the credit limit on the card i was closing.
