I Had A Care Credit And A Walmart Card Charged Off By GEMB, I Tried To Settle Them, But We Never Reached An Agreed Upon Amount. So These Cards Show On My Report As Charged Off Or Purchased By Another Lender. Will GEMB Ever Give Me A Card Again?
I had a CareCredit card and a JCPenney card; I included both in my chapter seven bankruptcy, which was discharged four years ago. I now have both again, as well as a walmart card.
It possibly depends on person to person .... I had ONE little Walmart card that ended up being a charge off which I paid ... and for the LIFE of me I cannot score another GEMB account .. I've just learned to stay away lol ..
They Are Definitely Not Approving Me, So Perhaps I'll Follow Your Example

I waited exactly two years after my discharge to purchase my house.
We closed on the house in Oct 2009. I went on an app spree the week after closing, and before the mortgage hit my reports. I was approved for all of the cards then. So it was a little over two years past bankruptcy discharge.

I'm gardening right now (my two year anniversary of discharge is this month), and planning a mortgage next. So it might be worth trying them after closing a home purchase.
I'm curious, why did you do the app spree before your mortgage reported? Adding a mortgage, which helps account mix, should produce a score increase, unless your AAOA is very low.
I was told to wait two years after a discharge to apply for anything. I didn't want to jeopardize my mortgage by applying for new credit....so I held off until after the closing before I applied.
I suppose I was impatient, and that is why I did it before the mortgage reported.
I'm glad I jumped in and applied though, because immediately after I closed, they sold the mortgage two times...and each "new mortgage" hit my credit reports one after the other. Two of the three showed a balance months later. I had to write letters to get the middle mortgage removed. Sure did mess with my AAoA to have three brand new mortgages on my report.....
