Does Walmart count as a grocery store for Amex and Dicovery

Just got both and wondering about rewards

I buy the bulk of my groceries from Wallmart. Some from Kroger

Guess I'll call Amex and Discover and ask

I just checked my Amex account. My BCP card gives 6% on groceries    Walmart only keyed as 1%  My Surpass also gave the lowest points for Walmart too.  I do not have a disco so no help there

Walmart Neighborhood Market does on Amex. Discover specifically excludes Walmart.

They almost always exclude Wal-Mart and Target from the grocery category.

No to Amex

Discover as of right now till Dec 31st counts Walmart.com for groceries. I use my Discover card for Walmart grocery pickup and I've gotten 10% back.

I have the BCP & wallmart, target nor BJs gets the 6% cash back.

Stew Lenards ( including wine & spirites) & Aldi do count for the 6% cash back.

I can see that since Walmart has a lot more than groceries.  They wouldn't know what was groceries or other stuff.
