Re: Duck card approval profiles

It may have been too that other than the two USAA credit cards at $5,000 a piece (opened March 2012) all others were opened since March 2013.  That may have played an important factor even though they didn't mention it.  I have payed the two USAA credit cards PIF since March 2012.  I susupect all that rolled up with the 3 paid charge offs was a bit too much.  When I spoke with them, they told me to reapply when the charge off's are gone.  I'll pass because I have the Walmart Discover and I think I have some good cards which will grow with me now.

Re: Duck card approval profiles

LOL.  Poster has some great cards with high limits.  I'm anxious to see how this pans out for him/her, as if I was applying again.

Re: Duck card approval profiles

And that folks, is how you get 60 inquiries. LOL

I have seen approvals with 15, 39 and 55 inquiries. I cant imagine why 60 would be the magical line that cant be crossed. lol

Here goes a big denial that I should have seen coming:

I app'd for Duck card with stats:

EQ pulled 665

AAoA 3.4 years

Util 5%

3 paid CO (4.8 years old at time)

Reason for instant denial - charge offs

Reconn'd - same reason

Sorry to hear you got denied. Smiley Sad I'm really surprised becuase your COs are paid and pretty old and your util is really low. Have you tried to get the COs off with a goodwill letter? If you search the forum under "goodwill" you'll find lots of info on it. They're mostly in the rebuilder's thread and not the CC thread. You could post on the rebuilder's thread with the specific companies for your COs and people will let you know if they've had luck with them, what's worked, etc. I'd definitley recommend taking a look if you haven't.

And yeah, you have some great cards in your sig, which like you said will grow with you! Smiley Happy

Re: Duck card approval profiles

@bichonmom,

 Thanks.  I have good willed all three (2 HSBC/Capital One and 1 Merrick Bank).  Forums say these are hard to crack and I can now attest to that firsthand.  They fall off December 2014.  They haven't affected me otherwise, so I'll just wait until then.
