I just called discover and asked if that was something available to me and she said that was not going on when I signed up earlier this month. I'm assuming if you have the card already, it would show in your discover account where all the cash back bonus offers are.
I got my card a month or so, and tried to get the promotion through online chat. The CSR said it could not be forced on to my account unfortunately
Just called them and they honored it. I applied 9/18/2012 they transferred me 2 times to a SR rep and she honored it. Thanks OP

I was approved on August 8th, and got the $50 shell gas card promotion.
Should I keep trying for this $100 promotion as well? Or am I just being selfish?
If it means anything, I have already put almost 3k through the card.
cant hurt to try
I receive targeted offers in the mail from Discover seemingly once a week. It is always for the standadr $100 signup bonus. Does Discover ever offer more? Personally, I won't pull the trigger on anything below $300.
Discover has a $200 on $1500 offer, but no 0% apr on that one and the spending is a lot higher

$300? I wouldn't even consider applying for a card that I didn't want unless it was more than $1,000. It's simply not worth the hassle for me.

Where is this $1,000 signup bonus card? I'll take it.
