Well darn...
I wish Sync would update their card to include contactless and have an actual useable mobile app where I can track my purchases. I really liked PayPal doing those things for me... not to mention being able to use my credit card for debit purchases.

Yeah back to my biggest complaint... no transaction notifications...
I don’t understand why MasterCard doesn’t do like VISA and make them available directly instead of having to rely on issuers to implement a system. Two of my three MasterCards have no transaction alerts - PayPal and SSFCU. Capital One does.

I hope they do this too.

And am I glad they do! I just got hit with a fraudulent charge tonight for airline tickets on my Quicksilver WMC. The Cap One app alerted me of the charge and then I also received a text and an email asking about the charge, as it was unusual. I immediately responded to the text, signed on to my account and locked the card, and then called the phone number. The charge is pending, so hopefully they can cancel it and the criminal that did this can walk instead of flying to their destination!
New Quicksilver WMC will be sent out.

Kudo’d for Cap1! being awesome, not for fraud. Glad that they noticed that and notified you right away. Cap is actually very good about their fraud alerts, if a bit overzealous at times (they have a tendency to deny things and then ask if they’re fraud).
I leave my SSFCU card frozen so it can’t be used and I check my Sync PayPal at least once a week. Not ideal but it works for now.
Tried to use my debit card today. Declined. Tried to use the PPMC. Declined. Oh oh, maybe they DID go Mar 11! Then I logged on to the site and saw the "Contact Customer Service" message. Now I am with Saren and others it would have been good to get a text or something!
They read out a set of transactions they were questioning. Most of these were where I had added my card as a payment method to a number of my vendors, and so had $1 auths followed by no charge. While I understand that this is a potential fraud pattern, no other issuer has complained (this were all previously on my Fidelity card, and briefly on the Paypal debit). It all got sorted out but the timing caused some temporary concern!

Ugh! This is exactly what I’m afraid is going to happen is I’m going to use my card one day and it’s going to get declined and I’m going to have to deal with customer service when they could have just sent a text.
Glad that they got it sorted at least but that’s ridiculous. Text message? Courtesy call?
