Either Slate or Freedom. They are sticklers on current CC history in your name tho, at least 1 year.

Re: Easiest Chase Card to get?

Word of warning, Chase can be sensitive to inquiries and high util. A few here (myself included) wanted the slate card for balance transfers and got a toy limit due to util.

Hope it works out for you! Smiley Happy

Re: Easiest Chase Card to get?

Thanks all Smiley Happy

Don't know what I may app for in a few months. I have seen some good benefits/rewards for Chase, however, I do not want to open a checking account to "up" my approval chances. Been witness to some less than stellar branch customer service, including helping with fraud resolution on their debit cards Smiley Sad

From LS's post: Either Slate or Freedom. They are sticklers on current CC history in your name tho, at least 1 year.

I know we have had this discussion before, but just to clarify I think this is YMMV. I had only 6 months of CC history before getting an instant approval on Freedom with the lowest interest rate. Of course, I had many other installment tradelines reporting, but 1 year of CC is clearly not a rule based on my experience.

In My Wallet: Amex BCP (12/12) $50,000, Chase Freedom (12/12) $16,500, Cap1 Quicksilver (6/12) $14,000, Barclaycard Rewards (5/13) $10,500, Citi Prestige (4/16) $30,000

Yes it is YMMV.

It's not a rule but a thin file will more than likely result in a denial for insufficient credit history.

Re: Easiest Chase Card to get?

Chase initially declined me for lack of revolving credit last year ( even though my AAOA was over 7 years) don't like installment loans I guess. This week they approved me for Freedom- revolving history 6 mos.

YMMV

Re: Easiest Chase Card to get?

The Freedom is generally seen as Chase's entry-level card. Given their target audience, I would also assume that the Disney card is also quite easy to get.

The Slate seems like a bit of a mixed bag. People get it primarily for a BT, so what kind of CL you get seems to be based on their assessment of how profitable you'll be in that BT. If Chase is concerned that you'll be unable to repay a large BT amount, they may only give you a small CL upon approval.
