It’s been since February I last posted, however I’ve been lurking around all year. I haven’t come as much as I used to, but it’s always good to read about the accomplishments, lessons learned, and risks we all take in improving our scores and in some cases our quality of life. Since May of 2016 the facts I learned here helped me acquire a mortgage at a great rate, and acquire some great cards that I’ve enjoyed. The benefits of higher tiered cards are so great to use and experience. I certainly have so many of you to thank for that.
Since quietly gardening in February the urge to modify the contents of my wallet hit me. I got rid of some redundancy (3 cards) and apped for two.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised to have been approved for both the US Bank Altitude with a SL of $21000 and thr Ritz Carlton with SL of $27000. I have entered into the $200k credit line realm. I currently have a utilization of less than 1%.
It has been worth the wait to have two cards that I will make use of most benefits. Sure the AF is up there, but it’s worth it to me to make travel more pleasant. The best thing is that Chase did not do a HP. I have the CSP with a high limit so maybe...I don’t know but not complaining.
Thanks for reading my post. This is the only place I know where I can share my happiness. Thanks for all the great reads. And thanks for providing a place to share experiences.
That's awesome, congratulations on the great SLs and your mortgage!
Congrats. Altitude is a nice card.
I’ve used the lounge + guest, a couple of the GoGo in-flight passes, the Apple Pay is nice for the 4.5%, and got the travel reimbursement already from a car rental. Need to figure where to use the travel bonus.
Thanks for sharing your story! Gardening surely works, wow. I'm in the garden myself until October-November 2018. Your story surely has inspired me. Congrats on your mortgage. I hope to be working towards a mortgage someday but I know I will be relocating soon within the next 2 years when my daughter graduates high school. That certainly gives my profile time to age and my new accounts mature.
