Re: FR

Supposedly Amex is now bucklling down on their F/Rs and are expecting to review ALL accounts regardless of limits.

Re: FR

They could get crazy like GEMB and start issuing nothing but 200.00 CL.  Wind up having more cards coming back then going outSmiley Very Happy

Re: FR

I do not get FR by no AMEX. I am waiting on my new AMEX Delta sky miles. If I get FR- i am cancelling on the spot. I don't care what kind of a FICO dive I would have to take. If more of their customers will tell them the same- they would rethink this whole FR buisness. i got other credit cards.

So what would be the right way?
Cancel by yourself or let them cancel it?

Re: FR

Either way it is canceled in good standing even if they cancel it, right? I'm really surprised they actually cancel the cards since most other lenders just reduce the credit lines.

Re: FR

If Amex requests a FR from me I would agree, pass the review with flying colors then close all my accounts with them without warning.
