you will get a score from fakos right away but you won't generate a Fico score until you have had an account for 6 months.

Do not apply for anything until you wait 6 months and sign up for the trial of Score Watch here at Myfico and see a real score generated.

joined USAA credit monitoring service and it shows a fako score of 710 for experian and equifax, Transunion says 9002. I have no idea where that number comes from.

The only thing showing on my reports is Kay Jewlers, $300 limit 0 balance Should I try for a real visa or master card or a good store card since I now have a score or just wait a while? I do also have although not reporting Cap1 $500  Cap 1 Secured $200 Badcocks $1,500. I also applied for before I had anything reporting and been denied walmart. Amazon, FireStone, Macy's, Citi and discover student cards all denied for no credit history

Definitely let new accounts report, INQ's age, and wait about 6 months before you pull the trigger on another app

And, as others have mentioned.  This way any HPs are not wasted while your profile ages over time.
