I FINALLY received an offer on the AE pre-qual site after months of nothing. It’s for the Delta Sky Miles card, which isn’t one I would have much use for, but it’s a nice feeling to finally be on their radar!

Go for it even if it’s not exactly what you want. Once you are in with AMEX all other additions you will get CLIs as well as new cards will be SP. After a year you can get rid of it or whatever. I got my first AMEX in December and now have 4 cards with them. If you take care of them they will take care of you.

Congrats Scooter, as said above, grab it and use it, and it can be the way you earn your way into the graces of Amex. Before you know it you’ll be seeing prequals for their core cards and will have your pick!

Even if it is not the card you want, I would apply and use and pay off every month. Gets you in the door !
