Hi. Does anyone have a backdoor recon number for First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO)? Thanks
Best of luck!!
888-530-3626
Unfortunately, that is just the general line to their credit card customer service department:

I have never had any luck reaching someone that could review the credit report and change a decision.
I believe you have to have an error on your report before they will recon but here is the number direct to the underwriting department 800-444-6220

wow, I have not had that number before and I called and my app had been flagged in system for INQ's and he couldn't share the magic number but said because of that system flag they could not over turn it but if they were to drop off everything else was fine.
My Fico also updated with them and it's up to a 703!!!
of course he is telling me to apply in just a couple months as enough of the INQ's will drop off but I applied for the card before my last app spree which put about 8+ new INQ's so I guess I won't be able to reapply as he suggests!
Thank you gdale6. I searched all over google for the number but couldn't find it!
I called that number and spoke to a very nice lady and was able to get a lot of info from her. The first guy I spoke to didn't release much info, so I called again. She said there were a total of 13 inquiries in my HOUSEHOLD within the past few months based on the address provided, so I got denied because of "excessive inquiries." They use a company called ICS and she was also able to tell me that I personally have a total of 5 inquiries COMBINED across all the 3 major CRA in the past 2 years, even though only my Experian gets pulled. She said I have an Experian FICO score of 801, yet I got denied lol because they use household inquiries lol. She said there was absolutely no way to override a denial based on "excessive inquiries" because she tried in the past with no success.
I'm going to contact ICS and request a free report from them because of AA. But it really sucks because this is the first time I get denied and I can't believe they rely on info from ICS and take into account the total cumulative number of inquiries on all peoople at an address on all 3 bureaus. So if you have a big family and they been applying for credit, I wouldn't apply for FNBO or it will be 1 additional waste hard pull. I'm stunned.
EDIT: ICS stands for Issuers Clearinghouse Services and I was given a phone # to call to request a report from them [1-800-392-8911]. Just FYI
This is really good info (regarding ICS). I was going to apply for this card for the EX08 but looks like I won't be doing that anytime soon.
Going to try and request an ICS report too. One more thing to keep up on, sigh.

Yeah, I was very surpised they have so much information on me, and everyone at my address. They lady in the underwriting department was very kind, and she basically said once the computer makes a certain decision (e.g., denial based on exessive inquiries), a human being isn't allowed to override some decisions.
She complimented me on my score given my age also (26)
Above is my FICO from my Barclaycard about a week ago. I'm still bummed I got turned down for credit for the first time. Oh well. The only reason I wanted the card was because of the free access Experian FICO score.
Both numbers have been added to BDN/CRAs stickies
thanks, gdale6 and WNA888
edit: ICS is actually ARS, a service that US Bank is known to use.
