Re: First National Bank of Omaha is restricting access to their products based on market service are

I kind of figured this would happen. I used to get Preapprovals from them all the time (Omaha AMEX) and I'm way out of their service area. Always ignored the offers but recently tried to get a card with them and said I was out of the service area. I live in CA.

That's what I had always heard that they were a local lender then all of a sudden they started sending out pre-approvals all over maybe they filled their quota for outside the local area

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

My plan was to use it when Discover gas 5% ran out the problem was Barclay has a promo they sent me for 3X on gas until 12/31

Whereas my FNBO Amex is 2% all year

Guess I may have to run some of that gas thur for 2% .......I don't want no problemsSmiley Surprised

Re: First National Bank of Omaha is restricting access to their products based on market service are

FNBO CRs said that current card members will be unaffected by the restricted marketing area. The CR was not sure how long the restriction would be in place. Seems other bank lendors are doing the same thing. Wonder why?
