Made my last payment to first premier. Tomorrow I will call and close at consumers request. next will be applied bank, then credit one will go. They have all served a purpose, and now that I have acheived a better credit score and have better credit cards it's time !!!!!   Good bye horrible interest rates.

Doing the happy dance!

Wow, is this what they stoop to?

They obviously feed on the oblivious and those who do not have a keen sense on their credit.

Re: First Premier 1st of 3 to go !!!!!

woo hoo! feels so great, doesn't it! I closed Credit One a couple months ago, and couldn't be happier. Now they keep blasting me with mailings trying to persuade me to "reopen my account" and pushing their 1% gas cash back offer. Yeah right. So you'll have some junk mail coming in the future Smiley Happy

Re: First Premier 1st of 3 to go !!!!!

LOL! I got that same mailing yesterday. Like 1% back on gas is such a great offer on that crap card. CSR gave me a TON of attitude for wanting to close the account. Telling it could hurt my credit and I should reconsider. SUCH a great feeling closing off both my rebuilding cards. Credit One closed! and Secured Cap One closed. They refused to PC, so closed it is.

Re: First Premier 1st of 3 to go !!!!!

I just closed my Credit One card at the end of February and god did that feel good. First Premier will be the next  to go. They did all serve their purpose but I have suffered through their outrageous fees long enough. Lessons learned. Congrats to you, also!
