First Savings Credit Card -- will it grow?

So I was pre-approved for a First Savings Credit Card -- they didn't tell me what the limit was but received it today.  I got a whopping (yes, sarcasm) 350.00 CL (don't worry, won't spend it all in one place!)

I can't find much information on this card -- is it worth keeping and growing?  Can I recon the initial CL?  Do they charge for CLI's like some of these other bottom-feeder cards (cough, First Premier, cough)?

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.

Re: First Savings Credit Card -- will it grow?

Thanks -- I haven't been able to find much information on them at all.  I did call in today and talked to a manager to try to recon the starting credit limit.  I don't think I will get anywhere...

However -- for others who may not know anything about First Savings:

  1. They do their first CLI review at 6 months and then annually after that.
  2. No charge for CLI
  3. Because of my complaints/concerns, they did agree to either lower the interest rate to 21 percent for 6 months or cut the AF in half to 37.50 (your choice).
  4. Even though they only do automated reviews at 6 months and then annually, you can call and request a review for CLI at any point -- I suspect that if you are in good standing, they will negotiate the AF and interest rates as well since they were willing to do so with me and I just received the card yesterday and they don't know me from Boo.

They certainly are not a prime card -- but they are at least reasonable in terms of their policies and when you call, you talk to live human beings who are not in some off-shore call center.  They definitely sound like a much better option than the First Premiers of the world!
