My Chase British Airways Visa Sig is reporting as Flexible Spending Limit.
I have no desire to attempt to spend over the limit, but I am curious about it.
How does that work?

That means you can charge over yor specific credit limit subject to approval by Chase. If they allow it, it's a one time approval and not a permanent credit limit increase. You must then pay the full amount of your balance over the limit along with your minimum monthly payment.
Though you'll probably want to pay much more than that or else you're likely to end up with it reporting as maxed.
I wonder how many travelers use that feature and if it would be a hard pull. I also wonder how it would affect one's internal scoring with Chase. Obviously reason says not to use it, but if it's a service offered then they would expect people to use it from time to time.
