So I just went on an app spree and got 4 out of 6 approvals (US Bank Korger, Chase Freedom Unlimited, Barclay Apple, and Paypal credit - no go for BOA and Citi Double Cash). Yay!
I have a question about the Freedom. The card I was approved for has no 0% into rate, but it does have 0% for 6 months for purchases over $399. Is this for all time? Seems like a pretty cool benefit if so. Anyone used this on their Freedom unlimited more than once?
I've not heard of 0% for 6 months on purchases over $399. Usually the card comes with 15 months at 0% for all new purchases and balance transfers.
The 6 months 0% for $399 and higher is Lowe's and Home Depot and actually I believe its $299 or more.
Congrats!
Yeah I can't find it on-line anymore but it is right on my cardmember agreement:
0% Promo APR for the first 6 months following the purchase date for each purchase of $399 or more, provided your account is open and not in default on the purchase date. After that, 25.24%. This APR will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate.
No, that is the unlimited. I don't have Lowe's or Home Depot.
Trying to post the agreement.
Well I can't get it to post but that link shows it.
That's how I read it. I was curious if this 6 month offer is good for all time which is why I posted.
Sounds like it is new/unusual so I will call Chase and ask.
For myself at least, I'd prefer this over the 0% for 15 months. Everyone is different, but I rarely make purchases over $1500 and I can (usually) pay those off within a 6 month timeline.
