I pushed the love again today (as I do every 6 months). CLI from $3900 to $7800. This time last year my CL was only $750.

congrats
Do you mind telling me who do they pull, and what was your score.
They soft pulled EQ about 3 weeks ago as normal acct review. EQ 739, TU 750.
tiger67, did it say that it may require a hard pull when you requested the CLI?

When you hit the luv button it says, "Please click the Continue button to proceed with your Credit Line Increase request. To process your request for a credit line increase, we may need to review your credit report".
I had my Lowes card since June, 08. I hit the luv button every 6 months or so. My CL went from 2K to 4K to 5K. The other day I hit it again. CL doubled from 5K to 10K. Each time it was instant. So I'm guessing it was a soft. |
Exactly.
After I wrote my first response I went online and did some research and answered most of my questions, so I am editing this.
Ok, so the question I have left is this: I thought that GEMB only gives a CL for the amount of what you are getting ready to purchase, nothing more. So, under what circumstances do they give this increase? Was it as simple as it sounded? You just go online somewhere and ask and they do a soft pull? Even though I don't have plans to use it, my GEMB account is at a sewing store and I owe $250 left from my $1000 machine. Can someone give me the link they are talking about to get soft pull CLI's?
Also, I opened my account 8/1/2009. Did you have to have the account a certain amount of time before they give the first CLI?
BTW, when I googled GEMB I got nothing but negative comments about their unfair practices. I have had them since about August of last year and have no problems. Twice I have forgotten the due date and have paid a day late and they had no problem crediting me and assuring me it would not report to the CRA's.
