Re: Garden Club - February 2016

Happy February Everyone <3

Here I am.. With a 1 point jump in my credit score. 600 to 601.
Moving into Month 2 of Gardening ^_^

I am hoping to pay off both my credit cards this month, although one credit card has a constantly revolving balance because I pay my bills with it.

Thinking for the future - I would like to be "Home buy" ready by The end of the year and look into possibly buying by Spring of 2017..
My goal was originally December of 2017 and buying in Spring of 2018 but I think I can do it..

There are 2 collections I'm working on getting removed, the other 5 I have succesesfully done with GW Letter!! yay!

Here's hoping February is a month of success!!!

Another month in the garden. However this month will be short lived. NFCU Business Services is in the process of approving a commercial real estate loan for our business. Will keep everyone posted

I waited up late last night for new garden thread (since was having Brandy, did not feel the ability to start one).

I am in same boat, garden May last until end of month, then begin pulling for USDA mortgage.  It's direct, with other programs added in.  I am excited, but also apprehensive.  At the end, I am apping for some home improvement cards, or see if Discover will give extension on 0%.

Goals, refine 0% balances to two or three cards.  Discover is already done, clearing up one BT to a Barclays card, and the 300 left on Freedom.  Ask for lower aprs as become eligible.

Re: Garden Club - February 2016

Howdy, everyone!  Hard to believe it has been a month already.  No plans to change for me, but will continue paying off some Christmas balances and plan to close my Comenity Coldwater Creek M/C to leave me with 2 store cards (Home Depot and Lowes).  Scores have started to recover from the New Year's apps, so things are going just as planned.  Hoping everyone has a successful month.

Score: EQ(809) EX(819) TU(800)
INQs: EQ(7) EX(16) TU(8)
Last INQ: 13 Jul 23

Total Credit Limit - $2.0M

Re: Garden Club - February 2016

Hey gang--- Last apps in late November when I replaced my two secured cards with regular cards. Since then three INQs on each report aged past twelve months leaving my reports with 3-3-2 INQs within the past twelve months. I have a bunch of INQs between twelve and twenty four months---many associated with a single car loan application that I never took. I know they don't count as far as Fico scoring but still looking forward to having them off my reports.

The plan---so I froze all three reports after my last apps in late November. I'm gardening until at least April 1st when I'm going back into the market for a home mortgage. That will be a full four months from my last INQs and my two new cards will be over 120 days old as well. 'm under the impression I won't have to write any letters of explanation if they are over 120 days. Besides the INQs and potential new mortgage account I will garden at least one full year until after December 1st 2016.

Scores are mide to upper 700s with a high of 775 on TU and a low of 740 with a mid score of about 750.

INQs are 3-3-2.

Open-accounts-three credit cards, one secured installment loan paid down to nine percent.

Closed-two secured cards, one secured installment loan.

AAOA over twelve months and under twenty four months. Oldest account will be turning twenty four months in March.

So that's my story---hope yous will let me hang out in the Club.

Re: Garden Club - February 2016

Hello February & Fellow GC Members!

THIS is the absolute BEST month of the year, YES I'm biased!!! Smiley Very Happy My goals remain the same. LIVE in the Garden Club until 2019 when I make a vehicle purchase. My scores are continuing to improve & it's actually FUN to watch the inquiries fall off.  My AAoA will reach 3 years 4 months this month, which is WONDERFUL progress coming from a person who has 25 credit cards.

To the NEW GC members, I encourage you to stay FOCUSED & keep your credit score goals in mind. You can do it!!! Smiley Happy

Hey all! Smiley Happy  Welp - I fell of the wagon last month - apped for something (Amex Green) I knew deep down my scores were probably not ready for yet...  Denied!!  So I start again in the garden this month with the knowledge that its going to be a bit before I can app for the cards I really want...  Smiley Happy
