Richard Head III is one of the greatest names I've ever heard. My parents named me so my initials spell PMS.

I had no idea this meant anything until I was in maybe 3rd or 4th grade and was playing video games at my friend's house. His older brother and friends were there and as I put my initials in for a high score his brother says "really? Your initials are PMS? My mom takes pills for that!".

Went home seeking explanation. Needless to say that was my nickname for at least the next few years. Thanks mom & dad.

my parents almost named me so my initials were a.s.s... but unlike your or richards parents caught their mistake in time! 😂

Somehow I've managed to stay plague free - it's primarily been my wife and to a lesser degree our son. She's been sick for like 3 weeks now, or course hasn't been to the doctor because med professionals are THE WORST about following their own advice. Seems to finally be coming around though. Appreciate the thoughts!

Hope everyone feels better. I'm avoiding EVERYONE, lol!

im avoiding everyone too its the best way! cant get sick now!

...AJC, you are a moderator now, so you have to turn your baseball cap around the right way, and get that tongue back in your mouth.

THIS^^^ That post of mine way back on Page 9, about how impossible I find it to keep up or catch up?? When did this happen?

Regardless, congrats AJC! I know you'll keep us all in line, like an Australian Sheepdog herding a bunch of cats

Good morning everyone. The purple finally hit reports today with a modest balance. No change to Fico 8s across the board. 🤗

Now what’s for lunch?

Good Morning MFer's, well got an email from Citi, my Advantage Platinum AF is due, went on the "other site" to see retention offers, and since October of last year not much, a few mentioned they were able to PC to DC, I have one and don't need another one. So called this morning and no offers, no "let me get you to a specialist" bupkus...LOL I really WANTED to close it anyway, I always keep it because for five years they have always offered to wave the AF...not this year, guessing CostCo is doing well for them?  LOL I am glad to have another card gone....I have the AA executive and the Silver Aviator and the Aviator is kind of a mirror of the Platinum anyway.....Well have a great week and DON'T APP or your cat will shred your favorite pair of Jeans!!

I don't have a cat! *giggles madly and runs to straddle the garden fence*

LOL NONE of the BEST people do!!!  Let the flaming begin! I am an equal opportunity offender, so JUST because you don't have a cat is NO REASON to "straddle the garden fence" (oh such VISIONS on that!!!) Smiley Very Happy The "cat" is a metaphor.......LMAO, any excuse....

But I really do have a cat.  I'm good people.

@Atkins when you say spiking, how high are we talking? Above 103? The highest she spiked was 103.1 - it's been mainly 101-102+/-
I'm assuming you're giving Tylenol, for her age what like 5ml. Is it bringing her temp down to below 100 but not keeping it there or is it refusing to come down at all? She hasn't had meds at all - I remembered the thermometer but forgot the ibuprofen (mom fail), so she's getting her first meds at home, right now.

You can give ibuprofen IN ADDITION to Tylenol, and since they have different dosing schedules you can do -
@Tylenol 160mg/5ml @ 5ml q4 prn + ibuprofen100mg/5ml @ 1.2-5ml (5ml if she's 2 & or above 24lbs) q6 prn We have done this before. She meets the weight requirements and almost the age requirement. (Where did two years go?!?!)

Which is nursing speak for "a toddler dose of Tylenol every 4 hours as needed AND an infant or toddler dose of ibuprofen every 6 hours as needed". Note that those times are irrespective of each other, so every 4 hours since last Tylenol dose regardless of when you gave ibuprofen and every 6 hours since last ibuprofen regardless of when you gave Tylenol.

Of course I don't know her history & don't have her chart in front of me so as always, I am not your doctor please consult your peds office nurse help line first! I called this afternoon. Pediatrician wants to see her if the kid's temp is not down in three days or if she seems worse - BUT I can bring her in anytime, if I feel it's warranted. I'd rather let the fever run it's course as long as it's not dangerously high.
but I suspect they will likely tell you the same unless her temp rises above 104/5 or she's got history that factors in. Hope she gets better soon! Our guys got a nagging cough & runny nose going on 2 weeks now but thankfully only had 2 days of elevated temp. Just wish it would clear entirely before Disney starting Saturday Sorry, that sucks! Best wishes hesh feeling 100% for the trip! She's had a clear, occasional running nose and cough and subsequent nasal drip for about three weeks due to allergies. My main concern is her developing a respiratory or an ear infection.
