Re: Garden Club Meeting - January 2013

Oh man, I've been doing really well so far (In the garden since 10/29/12) but today I got a pre-screened offer from Citi in the mail and it's got me anxious!

Now, I know I SHOULDN'T app right now for anything but I really WANT to!

I just have to wait though. I have CLI's from 2 GE cards that have yet to report and another GE card should be getting a CLI after the statement cuts next week.

Not to mention I have far too many INQ's in the past 12 months, but only 3 in the past 6 months.

I reallllly need to keep to my plan of waiting until at least April but it's not easy!!!!

Walmart Discover ($5000) - Amazon ($5500) - Cap1 Cash Rewards ($2000) - Meijer ($5000) - Discover More ($1800) - Car Care One ($2100) - Amex Delta Skymiles ($2000) - Citi Thank You Preferred ($2000) - Chase Freedom ($500) - Sam's Club, GE ($1237?)

Re: Garden Club Meeting - January 2013

Guess I'm the garden hadn't planned on being in the garden, but my APP-spree in December flopped, and started a new job and all the expenses that includes has me in the garden for 2-3 months perhaps more. Though while in the garden this time I got a lot more good things than I did the last time, and its only been a month.

Last card and AP   12/3/2012    Chase Slate  3k

CLI's

Walmart  CLI  from $1700 to  $2500 in $800  CLI

4x WFNNB cards  $300 each CLI,  for a toal of $1200 in CLI.

Auto-CLI

First National Bank Omaha   from 6k to 7500   $1500 CLI

For a total of 3500 in CLI and 3k in new credit availible. Certainly a lot better than I got in the previous 4 months of gardening, and I will be paying down my UTL quickly now that I have started to get paychecks again.

Cards: Chase Southwest 20k & CSR 17k & CSP 10k & FNBO 30k Oregon Duck 5k, & AMEX BCP 32.5k & Amex Magnet 15k&amg; Hilton Surpass 7.5k & Delta Gold 12k & Zync NPSL, Fidelity AMEX 17k Commerce5.9k & Cash Forward 7.5k & Sams Club MC 20k, Paypal Extras MC 10k, Paypal Credit 7.25k CapOne Venture 15k, QS 2.5k, QS 750, Amazon 10k, Walmart 10k, Citi Simplicity 18k, Discover IT 23k and a nice stack of store cards.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - January 2013

I was browsing around the forums, and realized that as of today I earned my SIlver Spade! Haven't even been tempted to app lately. I have been looking at my cards and have decided to ax my AMEX PRG when it is up for renewal next month. Just can't justify the AF any longer. I only have about 5k MR points which I think I will transfer to HHonors points (they have a promo where you get 2k HHonors points for every 1k of MR pts transferred until 1/31/13). Was going to see if AMEX could change PRG to a plain Blue card (I think that is the only revolver that you can PC a MR-earning card to), but haven't decided if I want to do that, or just wait and see if they have a better sign-up bonus for SPG later this year.

May also move CL from Barclays US Air MC to My NFL card, and cancel the US Air card (due to AF, and the fact that I have never flown US Air since I got the card in 2009. My local airline is Delta).

Other than these CL "re-allocations," and any SP CLI's I may be able to get, I have no plans for any apps in the near future. It's just as well, probably need to wait until June anyway, so my 6/12 app spree cars will be a year old.

Happy gardening everyone!

Congrats on your silver spade -- looks great!

You've got a really nice collection of cards, so I can see why you don't want/need anything else. I hope they continue to grow with you until your garden becomes positively lush. Happy gardening! Smiley Happy

Re: Garden Club Meeting - January 2013

After my original mortgage plan fell apart, stepped out of the garden to pickup some longer-term tradelines over the rebuilder cards I had.  Back to rockin the seedling!  Last app date was the HP CLI on 1/16.

So between the instant (USAA), the absurd(Amex), the recon (Chase), and the denied (presumably at least, BOFA CLI)  the lineup and goals are as follows:

Current tradelines:

BOFA Travel Rewards:         10/11 $2500

Cap One:                             12/11 $400  (nee Orchard)

DCU (sec):                           1/12 $2000

Amex Zync:                          9/12 NPSL

Amex BCP:                          1/13 $1000 (Backdate 1/12)

USAA MC                             1/13 $2000

Chase Freedom                     1/13 $1000

For completeness

USAA sec loan: 1/12

DCU auto loan:  8/12

Goals for 2013/2014:

Pulling the continent-sized weed out of my garden (Fed tax lien)

Obtain a mortgage

Presumably closing the Orchard/C1 card in 12/13 unless AF waived or solid PC.
