Re: Garden Club Meeting - January 2013

This is my first visit to the Garden Club! I've been inquiry-free since 3/12/2011, and intend to keep it that way until late fall 2013. At that point, I want to be able to get Tier 1 financing on a vehicle. Let's hope my 1999 Mountaineer holds on that long. LOL!

Stepped out of the garden for the last time til 2014!  I refinanced my Range Rover with PenFed at 1.49% today using the same HP from my application/cc/thrifty loc.  Since I'm going out of town on Friday, they are overnighting the paperwork and the check to me today.  I always thought they just paid off the current lender, but they said they are just sending me the check to pay them off. congrats! what was your rate before?

amount of loan? when i got my car i opted on leasing(270a month vs 600+ not including insurance) and putting down 15k on a new car in 3 years.

i might just buy out this one but im still debating.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - January 2013

That was a short trip in the Garden.

I had joined the garden, but then found out I was eligible for NFCU.  I just joined the other day, but do not think I will app for a credit card yet.

Right now my utilization is around 30%, and my current CL are very close to my current salary.  I do not want to cause an Amex FR by making it look like I am pyramiding debt (which is not my intention).  I also do not want to mess up internal limits (I would like to apply for a couple more cards from Chase, but if I get a large CL from NFCU they might not want to extend more to me).

The offer for the Amex Platinum is tempting though.

Citi Forward $6K l Citi Double Cash $7K l Chase Sapphire Preferred $10.3K l Discover IT $12K l Chase Freedom $5K l Chase United 10k l Chase Slate 7.2k l Amex Hilton HHonors $12.1K l NFCU GoRewards Visa 16.6K l Barclay US Airways World Mastercard $8K

Re: Garden Club Meeting - January 2013

I am so in the garden...for quite awhile I'm afraid.  I have gotten many great cards this past year with good limits.  No it's time to let the inquiries age off and accounts to grow.    Can't really think of any other cards I want or need!
