Re: Garden Club Meeting - June 2012

Just decided to pop in and see who will crack first, come on, you know you want to app.

Just think about how nice that shiny new CC will full in your hand.  When the new card shows up it says take me, I'm yours, but be gentle - I have never done this before.

Remember that old AE commerical about "let's go and brake it in".

Seriously,  I know it hard to resist and Lord knows I wish I had all those years ago but hang in there.  You can do it.

Hi  Everyone

Along with doing some real gardening at home, I am also doing some credit gardening, I have a few weeds that I want to pull, and let the rest of my garden grow. Scores EQ 660 and TU 652, Exp Fako 674.  I am trying to stay in garden till next may, with the exception of a possible car loan, current vehicle has 201000 miles.  New tires and shocks today to the tune of $1350.00  ouch!!!!

Weeds that I want to pluck are FP, Fingerhut, applied bank and credit one and possilby a few  orchard bank cards with low limits. I have some baddies on my report that I will have to let age off. I have goodwilled to the point of being threatened with a harassment charge from FP if I continue. LOL.   I have tried GW'ing nelnet and midland without success. Will continue to GW them. I also have a few paid public records that I will try to have removed.

I so much next year would like to apply for a prime card. I have the l Barclay, Cap 1, Orchard, Lowes, Walmart, Pennys, Macy's, Old Navy, Sams, Kohl's, Care Credit, Lowes, Paypal, Firestone, american eagle cards, which I am proud to have because 2 years ago I couldn't get anything. My equifax score in August of 2010 was 523, my progress has been slow but steady, hopefully in a couple of years I will have a A.E. and discover. Best wishes to everyone, I am so thankful that I found MY FICO what a wonderful group of people. Thanks to everyone and all the help you have given me since last august.  Smiley Very Happy

You've made wonderful progress with your credit rebuild -- congratulations! Keep up the good work. Time heals all credit wounds, and if you tend your garden well, you'll find your way to primeville. Best wishes on your continued credit journey. Smiley Happy

Ok I have been in the garden by proxy for 2 years.  I don;t think I will ever apply for a CC again.  Who's with me?

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Would you please explain? Thanks.

As for never apping for a CC again -- well, no. I've been rebuilding over the last two years. I've identified some prime cards that I'd like to add to my wallet and hope that I might be able to get them by the end of the year. After that I hope to be able to sit back for a long time and just enjoy using them. But, who knows what may be offered in the future, so I'd never say never.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - June 2012

I never thought to join the garden, I just didn't want to do anything to lower my FICO score.  That included reported balances, # of CC reporting a balance.  My goal was and still is to get to 800+ and stay there.  I also made a pact with myself to try not to do any business with a large bank and just stay with my local CU unless that wasn't an option for a autoloan.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - June 2012

Update, BK fell off TU today, I am BK (and all clean) on all 3 reports. TU score went from 709 (3/2012) to 753! Not as nice a jump as EQ, but I will take it. I am still staying in the garden until at least July - maybe August. That will probably be as long as I can resist the urge to app for a Chase card. Can someone pass the anti-itch cream?

CC's: AMEX (4), Alliant Visa, PenFed AMEX, Pen Fed Promise, Citi (3), Chase (5), US Bank Cash+, Huntington Voice, Nasa Plat Cash Visa, Barclay's Visa, Discover IT, Cap One QS, BOA (2), BMW Visa, 5/3 Real Life Rewards MC; FNBO Amex; Comenity Visa/MC (3), Ebates Visa Siggy, Nordstrom Visa, Walmart MC, Sam's Club MC; A few assorted store cards.

Current Scores (09/2017): EQ My Fico: 786; TU MyFico: 799; EX (My Fico): 797
