So, I will continue to garden, and grow...
Hearing stuff like that irks me. I've had my walmart card, with flawless history, for like 4 or 5 years. And I'm only at a $700 limit. They shoot me down for CLIs, even though I have another GE card at $2000. I need to call their underwriting, and see what the deal is. My TransUnion FICO is around 670.
I'm sure they will hand out CLIs on recon fairly liberally around christmas season esp if they have 0% APR attached to it. Stores like walmart, amazon, other retail store cards.

I'm hoping so! It isn't really going to affect me any if i'm denied, but it would still be nice to get some higher limits.

id just call the backdoor number and ask for somebody in underwriting.
for a card for 4 to 5 years. if it didnt go above 1k after 2 years id close it.

Although a lurker for years, I am pretty new here. My last app was in february, so going 8 months strong. Love the idea of gardening! I am working on lowering my utilization as that is my biggest negative right now while resisiting the urge to app for a couple cards I have wanted but been denied in the past. Glad to be here!
I have entered into the Garden. Time for me to sit back and relax and watch my garden grow!

Eh. I'll just keep it sock-drawered in my safe, with or without the increase. No reason to close it, if it isn't costing me anything.

I honestly try to avoid shopping at Wal-Mart these days.
Picked up my official Bronze spade! Aiming for no INQ until 7/2014.
Wish me luck. I need to just stick to this thread and ignore the rest of the credit cards forum, for now. You people here are a great support. Thank you.
